0

In case you missed it, yesterday LG announced their new secular smartwatch, and this is the second smartwatch to be secular and run Android Ware. Unlike the Moto 360, the LG G Watch R is going to be taking advantage on the entire screen.

The reason I said this, if you haven't noticed on the Moto 360, the bottom section of the screen is only uses for sensors and not for display. The body is completely stainless-steel. With all the connections and ports directly behind the watch.

DISPLAY

The display its self is going to be 1.3 inch, P-OLED Display (320 x 320). The plastic OLED is the same use on the LG G Flex where you get stunning images clarity even under the bright sunlight. It has been a pretty big issue up to this point for smartwatches.

STRAP

For the strap, LG G Watch R is going to standard 22mm leather band, and with it being a standard 22mm size you are be able to swap out the bands.

PROCESSOR

LG G Watch R is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, running with 1.2GHz and has 4GB of internal storage. We also get 512MB of RAM and also one of the biggest battery yet to see in a smartwatch.

BATTERY

The battery size is coming in with 410mAh. LG G Watch R is also IP67-certified and is claimed by the firm to run for 30 minutes in 1 metre of water.

SENSORS

When it comes to sensors, LG G Watch R comes with the photoplethysmography (PPG,  9-axis (gyro/ accelerometer/ compass), and barometer.

LG G Watch R includes new feature called 'dim always on' which insist you in clearly seeing the display outdoors as well as improving the battery life. Is this gonna be a direct competition for the Moto 360? We expect to learn more LG G Watch R such a pricing and ability at the IFA Conference in Berlin soon.
