It takes us through the various tours that he went on as well as his family life with his wife, plays by Sienna Miller.
It was very excited for this movie, it went through a lot of different hands and at one point David O Russell was considering directing this movie. We heard Steven Spielberg was gonna direct American Sniper and now it is being directed by Clint Eastwood.

It is a good movie, but is it great? We don't think so. Because there is a lot of different things that this movie doesn't explore that would have made it so much better. The positive side, Bradley Cooper is amazing in this movie, he gave a excellent, subdued and terrific performance.
The cinematography looks very good, the action sequences are fairly well handle. There is some suspense and heart pounding scenes in the film.
However, Eastwood takes a very 'black and white' approach in this movie. Despite the fact that the subject matter is kind of a grey area. There is a lot of controversy surround in this movie. A lot of people don't really think that Chris Kyle should be idolized because some of the things he has said in his own biography. This movie does not explore any of that.
There are scene that show is he is a wounded man but the film doesn't show any of the emotion. People don't really learn much about any other characters. Chris Kyle is by far the only interesting character in the movie.
We're not saying that American Sniper is a bad film. We are saying that it could have been more than that.
We gave American Sniper 6.5 stars.
