Essential Phone Honest Review. Is there enough room for another Android device in the market? If you ask Andy Rubin, the creator of Android, which happens to just run on 2 billion devices.
He left Google to built that phone and the answer is the Essential Phone. Essential Products is the name of the company and at the Code Conference, Rubin unveiled what they simply call the phone for the first time.
Essential Phone is a lot like Motorola's Moto Z phones except there are only two contacts instead of the whole row. So there is more freedom to the shape and placement at the accessory because it also compatible with the world's smallest 360 degree camera.

Screen
Essential Phone is reaching for the premium status. There is a 5.7 screen protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and slim bezels. The body is a beautiful slab of titanium and ceramic materials, so it can survive a drop-test without a major dent or blemish. This directly calling out Samsung and Apple.
The whole design has a minimal look that reflect theme of purity and asset. Bad news, Essential Phone does not have a headphone jack, but you do get an adapter in a box.
Camera
There is an 8mp camera on the front which might seem weird at first because it is located in the middle of the screen.
On the back, you have a dual 13mp camera, one with the color lens and the other one is enhances images with black and white shots.
What's weird though, is that the camera app has very few controls. For examples you can only add filters in editing mode but you won't be able to adjust things like white balance.
Processor
Essential Phone has a fast processor. It is running the Snapdragon 835 with 4GB of RAM, and 128GB storage with a rear finger-print sensor and USB-C connection. It is also compatible with all carriers. It has a unique design, wraps the screen around the front facing camera.
Rubin also said there is yet to be announced or demonstrated assistant that will run on the phone. It will also be compatible with the world's smallest 360 degree camera.
This might be the most intriguing phone of the year because the creators, especially coming from Rubin, he is Android's daddy. He knows what we want and we will see how consumers respond.
