Joss Whedon Fired from Batgirl

Joss Whedon Fired from Batgirl. Now the DC Extended Unverse (DCEU) has gained a little bit of a reputation for having movie projects, directors come and go. And today is not gonna help that reputation.

It is been officially announced that Joss Whedon has officially exited the Batgirl movie. Some of you may remember that it was last year that he was gonna be writing, producing, and directing Batgirl.

However he has now stepped away. The official statement coming from Whedon is as follows:
Batgirl is such an exciting project, and Warners/DC such collaborative and supportive partners, that it took me months to realize I really didn't have a story. I'm grateful to Geoff [Johns] and Toby [Emmerich] and everyone who was so welcoming when I arrived, and so understanding when I... uh, is there a sexier word for 'failed'?
There is a possibility here that Whedon was not able to come up with a story and thus ultimately decided to depart. However, if that was true it does not really put WB in a good place. Because they did not even have they idea this whole time but still telling the world about it.

Whedon who did Doll House, Buffy, and wrote Cabin In The Wood is a single weekend, he could not come up with the story for female protagonist lead.
